AI FOR YOU

How to be More Productive with These AI-Powered Tools

The Future of How We Read and Learn

In this post, I'm going to share some of the tools I use (and YOU can too) to be more productive when it comes to consuming information online.

These tools can help you save time and effort by summarizing articles, reading PDFs, and even converting blog posts into podcasts.

1. ReCast

This is a great tool for turning blog posts into conversation podcasts. ReCast takes a blog post and reads it back to you in a natural-sounding way, making it feel more like a conversation. This can be a great way to consume information while you're on the go, such as when you're commuting or doing chores.

2. Perplexity

Perplexity is a Chrome extension that can be used to summarize articles and answer your questions in a natural language. You can use it to search the entire internet, a specific domain, or even just the current page you're on. For example, you can use Perplexity to ask for a simplified explanation of an article you're reading.

3. ChatPDF

If you're looking for a tool to help you read PDFs, ChatPDF is a great option. Simply upload a PDF to ChatPDF and it will use AI to answer your questions about the content. This is a great way to quickly get a high-level overview of a PDF before you dive into the details.

Here are some additional tips for boosting your productivity:

  • Set realistic goals for yourself each day.

  • Break down large tasks into smaller, more manageable steps.

  • Eliminate distractions by turning off your phone notifications and closing unnecessary browser tabs.

  • Take breaks throughout the day to avoid burnout.

  • Reward yourself for completing tasks.

AI Fun Fact

AI Pets Exist: While real pets are lovable, they come with certain responsibilities like feeding and cleaning. AI pets, on the other hand, are robots that look, feel, and act like real animals but eliminate practical challenges faced by pet owners. Expect AI-driven pets to become widely available in the market by 2025.

Our intelligence is what makes us human, and AI is an extension of that quality.

— Yann LeCun

That was it for the week.

Till next Friday, folks!

(Pro tip: Everyone (including me) says AI saves time… here’s the thing: When you just start using AI tools, you’ll waste 2x more time but that’s time is an investment you make to be able to do things in 10 times lesser time)
